I have played this maybe 13 times and love it. I know 13 is not many but I'll post this regardless, there are MANY similar methods to this. This is *VERY* easy to use. Its flat betting. I bet $50 per spin, use whatever units you desire. Red/black is my starting point. Then its odd/even and last, 1-18/19-36. (I catch a streak and stay on it.) Ok, I start betting on the LAST color that hit, we'll say black.

I keep betting on whatever color just hit, hoping to get a nice streak, 8+ is nice. I switch to odd/even when things get CHOPPY with the colors. 'Choppy' is open to interpretation. Two different people might have two different definitions. If a 0/00 hits, bet on the last outcome. Lets say a 7 hit and then a 0. Next bet? Odd. Again, say the odd/evens are getting choppy. I then switch to 1-18/19-36.

Stay ON IT as long as its not choppy, use your head. If its making you some units, stay on it. Do NOT lose your entire profit (to that point) because you dont feel like switching. Again, say the 1-18/19-36 is getting choppy.....back to red/black etc. If you are betting while a PARTICULAR streak is in progress, cool, you'll be on it. If things get tough, no biggie, switch! I also use a 4x6 notebook to record everything. I know most will check out the history board but I still keep track, just in case of board mistakes. Ken

Having been at a table where 22 consecutive reds spun and then upon an immediate dealer change 13 consecutive blacks spun made me investigate the wisdom of playing FTL. I made some money that day where folks were jumping in and playing against the color, sometimes for large sums. They LOST. I made a bit of cash using a positive progression. If nothing else, it taught me to never bet against what the table is providing.

Using RX and a few 100 recorded actuals from a 00 wheel from across the USA I tried both FTL and OTL (the opposite). I also recorded "trends." I did find no one plan was perfect. But it was eye-opening to see where one of the three or even where two of the three even-money bets chopped one would be rather steady. But when the steady one started chopping another would take its place. You still needed a crystal ball.

Armed with what I found, I then applied various positive and negative progressions. In the end I think I found a positive progression worked well when playing FTL. Being conservative, I never progressed until I won 2-consecutive bets then I'd start by letting it ride. From the first double I'd let it all ride but ALWAYS removing at least one unit from the win to guarantee a profit plus have more units to bet with when the run ended. Maybe remove one, then two, then one again, etc. The entire trick is to guess when to pull the bulk of the profits, reducing the bet, and reapplying the plan within hopes of more wins.

If it goes 8 consecutive spins and you pull at 6 you want to kick your own ass (what was I thinking???). If you planned to play to 8 and it dies at 6 you want to kick your own ass for being so greedy.

Gaming is so much fun.

Nice post Talesman! If a streak of the same is happening, you CAN be on it to enjoy the ride, free will. If it gets choppy, free will again, get off of it. There are two other ECs to choose from. It would be RARE for all three ECs to be choppy at the same time. Ken

I know you rent videos...be sure to see "The Bounty Hunter" (it's good in its own right).

Their craps table excursion about sums up the next-to-last paragraph on my post.

I only do it for the ECs. Its MUCH FASTER if I have a win goal of $800 (for example). Some players are nuts. They play $20 on the ECs and their goal is $800.....you'll be playing forever. Ken

It's not nuts but the goal may be a bit unrealistic.

Grinders usually know their stuff. For years I played grinds at craps and rarely had a losing session much less a losing day. Sometimes profits were less than $1 an hour (I remember one 14-hour day very fondly) but what was/is important is there weren't losses. Or as Perry B. would say "control your losses and the profits will take care of themselves."

Comps are part and parcel of the casino experience as well as the bottom line. In that light, an 8 hour rating may be well worth more than a blim, blam, thank-you-mam' excursion.

Keep winning.
